Any motorcycle rider will tell you that there is nothing like the feeling of total freedom when you’re riding. If you know, you know, and as a crew of avid motorcyclists we get it.

Safety is our number one priority when it comes to motorcycles, and the first line of defense when you’re on the road is a bike that is in good running condition. After sitting for the winter it is a good idea to give your motorcycle a thorough check to ensure it is mechanically sound and ready to ride.

To help our motorcycle customers prepare for riding season we offer what we call a full service. During a full service, we look your bike over from top to bottom, front to back, inside and out, to look for any mechanical issues. If we happen to find something that is in need of repair we call you right away to discuss your options and let you decide how to proceed.

A full service also includes fluid changes and new spark plugs.

Our full service covers more than 25 points on your motorcycle.  Here’s what we recommend you inspect before the riding season begins if you’re a do-it-yourselfer:

Tires

  • Set your tire pressures!  It’s not uncommon for tires to lose a few pounds of air over the winter.
  • Check the condition of your tires – check for damage, dry rot, or uneven wear.

Cables

  • Check for proper freeplay and smooth movement.
  • Don’t forget to lube your cables periodically!

Forks

  • Check for abnormal wear or pitting on your inner fork tubes.
  • Check fork seals for leaking.  Forks that are low on oil won’t function properly, and fork oil is lubricant for brake pads (which is not a good thing!)

Change your engine oil and filter

  • Even if you didn’t ride enough miles to require an oil change, heating and cooling of metal causes condensation – inside your engine is no exception!  Even a small amount of water in your crankcase causes premature breakdown of oil which hurts its ability to lubricate properly.

Replace your spark plugs

  • Relatively speaking, spark plugs are cheap.  We believe a fresh set of plugs for each season will more than pay for itself in fuel savings from cleaner and more complete combustion.

We charge $139.95-159.95 for most makes and models plus the cost of parts, (oil filter, oil, spark plugs).

If you prefer to do-it-yourself we have the supplies to help you get the job done.
